Process Improvement Model

I have been using the following simple process improvement model with one of my clients for some time now with great success. The model starts with the identification of current processes for software development within the company. The process continues as the business defines how it would like to improve their processes. The route to attain this goal is then documented. Once the client has achieved their documented goals it is important to go back and analyze how effectively the process worked. When the steps have been completed it is necessary to question if the company can continue to improve.

In concert with the client, after successfully upgrading to a new process we again used the model for the next phase of their project. This diagram has now became the basis for their process improvement model.
